Using automation enables very fast creation of multiple photo montages.
Depending on the use case, the whole photo can be fitted to the frame, or instead I can make use of machine learning models to find the focal area of the photo, and use that segment of the photo to fit.
A bit of trial and error is sometimes required to find the most suitable model settings, but as that's just tweaking a value in the code, it's simple to generate lots of candidate versions for review.
Grid patterns can be added manually if a match to an existing style is needed. Or instead I can automate the generation of grids, then the program will select the grid with the best aspect ratio match to the photos.
Additional styling, such as adding text captions, and divider lines, can also be automated. Final designs can be supplied ready to open in InDesign, with object styles applied.
